This policy explains what happens to personal data when you use zio-marble.com. It is written to be read, not to be survived.

When you simply read the site
The site is hosted in Germany by ALL-INKL.COM — Neue Medien Münnich, Hauptstraße 68, 02742 Friedersdorf. A data processing agreement under Art. 28 GDPR is in place.
Their web server records each request in a log: your IP address, the time, the page requested, the referring page, and your browser and operating system. This is necessary to deliver the site and to recognise attacks, which is our legitimate interest under Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. The logs are deleted by the provider on a short rolling basis and are not combined with anything else.
Cookies
The site sets no analytics, advertising or tracking cookies. Two things may be stored on your device:
- Consent — CookieYes stores your cookie choice so you are not asked again. Strictly necessary; kept up to one year.
- Language — if you choose a language, Polylang remembers it for your next visit.
There is currently no web analytics on this site. If that changes, it will be listed here and will only load after you agree to it.
We do not load fonts, maps or scripts from Google or any other third-party network. Nothing about your visit is transmitted outside the hosting described above.
When you send an enquiry
The enquiry form asks for your name, email and message, and optionally your company, telephone, country, material of interest and tonnage. We use these only to answer you and, if it goes further, to prepare an offer.
The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR — steps taken at your own request before a contract — supported by Art. 6(1)(f) for ordinary business correspondence. Providing the data is voluntary, but without a name, an email address and a message we cannot answer.
Enquiries reach us as email and are held in our mailbox with our email provider. They are not stored in the website database, not sold, and not passed to anyone else. We delete correspondence once it is closed and nothing commercial follows. Where an order does follow, Italian commercial and tax law requires us to keep the records for the statutory period.
To limit automated abuse, the form briefly stores a one-way cryptographic hash of the sending IP address for one minute. The address itself is never stored, logged or sent to us, and the hash cannot be reversed to recover it.
Marketing, only if you ask for it
The form contains an optional, unticked box allowing us to contact you later about new availability and prices. That is consent under Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR. You can withdraw it at any time by replying to any message or writing to us, with no effect on the lawfulness of what came before. If you leave the box unticked, we will only answer your enquiry.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to:
- know what we hold about you and get a copy (Art. 15)
- have inaccurate data corrected (Art. 16)
- have data erased (Art. 17)
- have processing restricted (Art. 18)
- receive your data in a portable form (Art. 20)
- object to processing based on legitimate interest (Art. 21)
- withdraw any consent you have given, at any time (Art. 7(3))
Write to info@zio-marble.com and we will deal with it. You can also complain to a supervisory authority — in Italy the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali, or the authority where you live or work.
Transfers and automated decisions
Your data is processed within the European Union. We do not transfer it to third countries. We do not use automated decision-making or profiling.
